Celebrating Home Ownership Dreams Coming True
At Central Valley Habitat for Humanity, we believe in putting God's love into action. And on September 10th, 2023, we had the pleasure of celebrating two local families' dreams coming true at our House Dedication at the new Virginia Avenue duplex. This day marked the culmination of hard work, dedication, and a shared commitment to creating home ownership opportunities for families in our community.
The journey to homeownership is often challenging and filled with obstacles and the dream of owning a home is more elusive than ever for many. That's why we are honored to have partnered with Ariel and her son, and Fashali, Zayad, and their three children to help make their dreams of homeownership a reality.
Ariel, a first-generation homeowner, is a shining example of determination. She participated in "This is a Faith Build," where she worked in partnership with her church to qualify for our program and build her home. Her and her son’s story serves as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when you have the support and determination to overcome obstacles.
Fashali and Zayad, from Eritrea and Ethiopia, respectively, have shown remarkable dedication throughout their journey to homeownership. They have exceeded the sweat equity requirements for the construction of their home, highlighting their unwavering commitment to building a better future for their family.
House dedications are living proof that we are fulfilling our mission and creating a lasting impact within our community. These events hold a special place in our hearts, as a reflection of the dedication and hard work that has gone into every project.
