Mission Activity Available Through Central Valley Habitat for Humanity

Central Valley Habitat for Humanity (CVHfH) is now registering churches for Faith Builds in 2018 and 2019. As part of a Faith Build, churches team with Central Valley Habitat for Humanity and other local churches to provide a home for families in need. Benefits to the church include mission opportunities for the congregation, chances to meet and engage with members from other churches, time to talk and witness to prospective church members, and renewed energy through team building. Activities during the faith build include daily devotionals, writing prayers and blessings on the framing, presentations at each church and a dedication ceremony at the completion of the build.

How does it work? CVHfH provides land, families, and connections within the community and state. The church provides a congregation coordinator, funding (split between all involved churches), any individuals with knowledge of construction in the congregation and individuals who want to help with building and fundraising (no experience required).
