Rehab Hands for Habitat Makes a Difference in Our Community

Rehab Hands for Habitat is a wonderful example of people coming together in our community to build homes and hope for families. Jim Wampler, with Wampler & Associates Rehabilitation, started this informal group a few years ago to make an impact at Habitat. It is made up of individuals and businesses in the community who want to give back either financially or through volunteerism to help build a Habitat home. They have sponsored three homes in Harrisonburg since 2006 and are set to sponsor their fourth at our new project on Suter Street.

Home Sponsorship is one of the main tenets of our organization. Building homes requires significant funds and manpower. These sponsorships allow us to establish a partnership with an individual or organization who is committed to covering these needs. In return, the organization has the opportunity to work hands on with families and get to see the real impact they are making. Habitat also provides recognition to our sponsors through our online presence, special groundbreaking events, dedication ceremonies, and at the build site itself.

We could not do this work without people like Jim Wampler. In addition to funds and manpower, Jim deeply cares for the families he works with. Rehab Hands for Habitat has been a great partner for Central Valley Habitat over the years and we are so excited to work with them again at our build on Suter Street.
